How do you typically enroll your NIN today?
Fill the form online by visiting the NIMC pre-enrolment portal.
Travel to a location that has an enrolment centre, to perform biometric capture.
Make payments either to the enrolment center, or visit the bank to make payments.
Present original copies of requested documents for verifications and further proceedings to the enrolment centre.
Once these processes are completed, you may be given a transaction ID slip or presented your NIN immediately (if no issues were encountered.
Transaction slip is required to collect your NIN slip at a given date, so traveling back to the enrollment centre is necessary.

What will happen to my data once captured?
Our licenced enrolment agents are trained to provide these services - enrolment & issuance of the NIN; NIN verification & authentication services, and Modification or date update.
Agents have restricted access to the information captured. All information captured on NIMC’s enrolment software and are sent in an encrypted format to the National Identity Database.
Once the enrolled NIN data is submitted and Data is successfully pushed to National Identity DataBase, the software automatically delete the NIN enrollment data on the capture device, this will ensure the security of data is maintained.
Access to information in the database is granted only on ‘limited information’ required for the specific transaction and with the explicit or implicit consent of the person whose data is to be accessed.
